The Real Hustle

When I posted about my birthday weekend, I mentioned about Paul Wilson's new TV show called "The Real Hustle".

Well, it starts on BBC THREE tomorrow night, Thursday 9 February, at 10:30pm. Paul has been publicising the show all over the place and is on Channel 4's "Richard and Judy" tomorrow afternoon.

Paul was on BBC Radio Scotland this morning publicising the show and you can hear the show once again by visiting the BBC Radio Scotland website and clicking on the "listen again" link (if you don't do this today, you may need to choose Wednesday's show and the interview starts at around the 52-minute mark, if you want to skip straight to it).

Happy viewing, folks!

Cameron's Christening

So last Sunday, 29 January 2006, was the Christening of my youngest nephew, Cameron James MacNee. What, for me, made it all the more special was that my Sister and Brother-In-Law had asked me to be Godfather ("you disrepect my family!") to Cameron. I was very touched and very honoured to be asked to do that. Thank you, Mhairi and Callum! Standing alongside me as Cameron's Godmothers were Mhairi's best friend, Irene and Callum's sister, Mhairi.

The service at Paisley's Laigh Kirk was very good with the (relatively) new minister, David Thom, proving that Church Ministers can be up for a bit of fun during the service. After the Sacrement of Baptism was performed, David announced the last hymn of the morning. Lewis, Cameron's big brother, decided that he would sit down on the steps leading up to the platform. David saw this and decided to sit down beside him. A brilliant wee thing that had everyone in the Church that saw it smiling.

After the service, we went back to Mhairi and Callum's house for a party. I've got a whole load of pictures online here that give you a flavour of what happened during the day.
